FRESH BEAUTY SALON / ILKLEY
Privacy & Cookies
How we use and look after your personal information when you visit our website or get in touch.
Who we are and how to contact us
Fresh Beauty Salon is responsible for the personal information used to handle your salon enquiries and appointments. This notice explains how information is used on our website and when you contact Cassie about Fresh's services.
For questions about your privacy or to exercise your rights, contact Cassie on WhatsApp, phone 01943 816434, or write to Fresh Beauty Salon, 25a The Grove Promenade, Ilkley, LS29 8AF.
Information you share with us
When you enquire about a treatment, appointment or gift voucher, you may share your name, telephone number, message, treatment preferences and preferred appointment times. We use these details to reply, discuss your requirements and arrange or manage your appointment.
Our treatment enquiry links open an editable message in WhatsApp. You choose whether to send it. The website cannot read your WhatsApp conversations.
Please avoid including detailed health information in an initial enquiry. Any consultation information needed for a treatment is discussed separately with Cassie, including why it is needed and how it will be used.
You choose what information to provide. Without enough contact or appointment information, we may be unable to answer your enquiry or arrange a treatment.
Why we use your information
- Enquiries and appointments: to take steps at your request before agreeing a service, and to manage a service you have booked.
- General questions and website operation: for our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, understanding website use and keeping the website secure and working properly.
- Legal obligations: where we need to keep or disclose information to meet a legal requirement.
If we ask for consent for a particular use of your information, we explain that use when asking. You can withdraw that consent by contacting Cassie.
Website visits and technical information
When you visit, website hosting and technical services receive connection information, which can include your IP address, the page requested and server logs. This information helps deliver the website and maintain its security.
The website also records visit information: a randomly generated identifier for the current page visit, the page path, the referring page, time spent and scroll progress. This helps us understand whether pages are being viewed and used.
The visit counter does not set cookies or save identifiers in your browser's local or session storage. It does not record the contents of your enquiries or WhatsApp messages.
Who receives information
Cassie receives the information you send to Fresh about treatments and appointments. Website hosting, data storage, website maintenance and technical support providers handle the technical and visit information needed to operate and support this website.
Information may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where needed to deal with a legal matter or meet a legal obligation.
WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps handle information through their own services, as explained below.
WhatsApp and Facebook
If you follow a WhatsApp link, WhatsApp handles the information involved in opening its service and sending your message under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Our Facebook links take you to Fresh's Facebook page. Facebook handles your use of its service under Meta's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Google Maps and cookies
The visit section includes an embedded Google map. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address and device information and use cookies or similar technologies. Google explains its use of information in its privacy policy (opens in a new tab). The Get directions link also opens Google Maps in a new tab.
The visit counter's use of no cookies does not apply to Google Maps or to services you visit through external links. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how embedded services work.
Information processed outside the UK
Website and communications services may process information in countries outside the UK. The privacy notices linked above explain the international processing arrangements for WhatsApp, Facebook and Google. Contact Cassie if you would like information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your use of this website or your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Information is kept for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected. The relevant period depends on the type of information and the reason for keeping it:
- Enquiry messages: the time needed to answer your question and deal with related follow-up.
- Appointment correspondence: the time needed to arrange and manage the service and deal with associated queries, complaints or legal obligations.
- Technical logs and visit records: the time needed to understand website use, maintain the service and investigate technical or security issues.
Contact Cassie if you would like to know how these criteria apply to information about you or to request its deletion.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it deleted, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. If a use relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier use.
Your right to object: you can object to the use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests, based on your particular circumstances.
Contact Cassie using the details above to make a request or raise a concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab).

We update this notice when the website or the way information is used changes. Last updated: 1 November 2026.
